That is the trick, not just in these situations, but in general: getting everyone involved. Find a magic cure to that problem, and everything else will be fixed

Way to go! And I'm glad you weren't kept out for long.

The first paragraph of your story, the one in large print, is exactly right. I've been in a ton of places where the guy who stands up to management is branded negatively-by his UNION coworkers! We need to stick together. If one of us is targeted, we should all be willing to step into the line of fire with that person.

Management loves to make an example of individuals, but they hate to look guilty of a massacre!

Thanks Kathy. I admit I was quite taken back by the audacity (or perhaps, more appropriately, ignorance) of such a move.

Management has clearly been bothered by those who've been standing up for their rights, especially lately. Of course, I hope their inappropriate reactions result in even more people becoming aware of those rights and standing up.

Just the other day it was brought to my attention that management doesn't like me. While it's not as if I set out to be unlikable, for me to worry about their opinion is a bit like a U.S. presidential candidate campaigning in North Korea.

Good for you to stand up. I too was threatened to be
fired for questioning management working. It is evident they are upset when we want our rights protected.
